plan ahead

Fall means jumping in piles of freshly raked leaves, cheering the home team on the football field, and sipping fresh-squeezed apple cider. Let us help you enjoy all that fall has to offer, with a little added pizzazz!

Monday, Sept. 2, Labor Day: Honor all of the hard-working heroes in your life. A plant or flowers are a great gift to brighten up a desk or office.

Sunday, Sept. 8, Grandparents Day: Show your loved ones they’re special with a corsage for grandma and a boutonniere for grandpa. They’ll both be looking grand for Sunday services.

Wednesday, Sept. 11, Patriot Day: Acts of service abound today as we remember those lost on 9/11. There are many ways to spread joy today – bringing flowers to veterans or active-duty service members, visiting a local senior center or youth organization.

Thursday, Sept. 19, International Talk Like a Pirate Day: Arrgh! Avast mateys, today be the day to impress your mates – particularly the young ‘uns – with your pirate prowess. What better way to spend your doubloons than on some beautiful blooms!

Sunday, Sept. 22, First Day of Fall: We have a wide variety of flowers that will transform your abode into a fall haven, from chrysanthemums, asters and sunflowers to dahlias and black-eyed susans (Rudbeckia).

Saturday, Sept. 28, National Good Neighbor Day: Offer a neighborly gesture today by dropping by with a bouquet of colorful blooms. It’s a great way to honor longtime friendships or to make new ones.
